Sexual rights are under attack - how do we mobilize together?
How can the feminist foreign policy be a tool to build bridges and retain the brave frontline for sexual and reproductive health and rights, SRHR issues? What can Sweden, civil society and the EU do to further mobilize a strong alliance and strengthen a diversity of voices?
Utökad information om evenemangetA conservative backlash and shrinking civic space for actors working to realize SRHR and LGBTQI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex) has been observed in many parts of the world and in many ways, among religious as well as secular organizations. Agreements on SRHR within the UN-system are being questioned by actors motivated by particular perspectives of nationalism or religion. Religious actors have much impact on these discussions, and engaging with a diversity of religious perspectives on these issues is essential. Mobilizing innovative partnerships and methods is needed to fill the global gap in a context of growing conservatism, polarization and roll-back on human rights.
