Climate justice, more important now than ever
Most are aware of the seriousness of the climate crisis we are facing today. Importantly, some parts of the world are already facing direct consequences of climate change. What can we do, in the global north, to take responsibility for this important justice issue? How do we influence politicians?
Utökad information om evenemangetJordens Vänner’s sister organization and Afrikagrupperna’s partner organization JA! in Mozambique bare witness of the seriousness of the issue in the aftermath of cyclone Idai in March, which is one of many natural disasters caused by climate change. The climate crisis hasn’t been caused by countries in the global south but by the historic and current emissions from the rich countries in the north. These countries are in need of urgent cuts in emissions and to take concrete measures by stopping financing of fossil fuels. Climate justice is the most important issue to handle the climate crisis in a fair and equal way!
