Women in Europe - pandemic effects on gender equality in society and private life
Democracy and equal opportunities have changed the structure and developed new pattern during the pandemic. Since April 2020 women around Europe have been writing diary notes of how Covid-19 has affected women generally in their countries and in their professional and private lives.
Utökad information om evenemangetThe diaries are building a platform to understand how women's lives have changed during the last year. It is also a start to analysing what happened during the Covid 19 pandemic and how it will affect the life and the world after the pandemic. Some women have also used photographs to emphasize their thoughts.The entries from the participants are anonymous. The activity with writing diary notes is called Women Reflect. In November a film was made built on the diary notes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j3GNF6H1zs In 2021 a collection of pictures and quotes was published,. During this spring more information has been collected about women's situation in Europe. In Almedalen experts from six countries will follow up and reflect on the affects of covid 19 and the future.
