Digitization and automation of the labour market and the economy brings both opportunities and challenges. Depending on our actions, as individuals, businesses and society the technological development will have different impact.

The actions that people, businesses and governments take now will determine how this plays out. A recent study by McKinsey shows that through adopting new technology we can increase job creation and see a positive net effect of digitization for Sweden. The solution lies in how we deploy technology in the private and public sector and perhaps most important of all how well we ensure that individuals have the right digital competence needed for the future of jobs. But how do we get there? How will artificial intelligence (AI) impact labour markets? What does the future labour market look like? What is required of individuals, businesses and societies in order to ensure the digital transition for everyone?
