The world is changing, the population growth combined with a high urbanization trend results in demand for more resources and smart waste handling. We believe that a resource focus in waste management is crucial to tackling these challenges. Phosphorus is one of these challenges.

Utökad information om evenemanget

We will in this seminar try to answer how a resource focus in sludge and waste water treatment can contribute in both fulfilling the different global goals and how can we secure access to phosphorus, a material listed in the EU CRM list. We will also describe how other EU countries i.e. Germany is dealing with phosphorus recovery, and thereby hope to inspire policymakers in Sweden in order to finally get a phosphorus recovery legislation in place. Pär Larshans will start presenting facts about what is happening with today's mining of phosphorus in Morocco and after that introduce the rest of the speakers. 2nd speaker, Anders Kihl - The background story – resource focus from the year 1850-2050– what we need to do. 3rd speaker, Christian Kabbe - In Germany, what is happening? 4th Speaker, Jan Svärd – Ash2phos – proven phosphorus recovery technology. Round of reflections. The seminar will be recorded.
